To help you with this mass amount of pictures, I've
created this page to give you some information. I've broke it up by
day, starting with our trip to the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas. I
would also like to point out, in some pictures there is a close up
picture of a random person, then a bigger picture. If you look closely
(I may have to point it out to you) the person is in the big (wide)
picture as well. This gives you a close up to see what I was taking
a picture of, then a wider picture to show what the naked eye would
see, if you were actually there. To see these pictures click the
link at the bottom of the page (read the stuff first though, it'll
only help).

Traveling to the Grand Canyon
Today included packing up our stuff from staying at Krissy's brothers
in Henderson, (suburb of Las Vegas), and then making our way to the
Grand Canyon. As you'll see, we hit a variety of weather, and passed
through the Hoover Dam.
Lookouts at the Grand Canyon
Once we got to the Grand Canyon we went to our hotel checked in and
made our way to the lookout points. We got there before sunset so
we could see the sunset views there. I would also like to point out
picture #0385. If you look at this photo, starting in the bottom there
is a slight 'line' going out to about the middle/top of the picture.
At the end of that line is where Plateau Point is, 6 miles (by foot)
away.

Venture to Plateau Point
This was the mutilating day; we hiked down 6 miles to Plateau Point.
It was quite a hike, took us about 5 hours to get down there. This
section shows our hike down.
Plateau Point in the Grand Canyon
It was a neat view though, as you can see I took a lot of pictures
down there. You can see a closer view of the river, and a look up
at the South and North Rim of the Canyon.
Long miserable trip out of the Grand Canyon
The way back up there aren't quite as many pictures, however we were
exhausted. The Grand Canyon paper was right; this is a very strenuous
hike. We left about 10 AM, and as you can tell, we didn't get back
up till after dark, well after dark, about 7:30 PM.

Traveling back to Las Vegas
We left the rip-off-city known as Tusayan, AZ today and made our way
to Williams, AZ, and then back to Vegas, again via the Hoover Dam.
Roaming around Las Vegas
We really didn't come here for the Vegas part; we've both been there,
its old news. However with all that said we did kill some time after
we got back from the Grand Canyon roaming around Vegas, and here's
the pictures of what I caught.

Exploring Red Rock Canyon
Just west of Vegas is a national reserve called Red Rock Canyon. We
took the day and went to that, it's only like 30 minutes outside of
Vegas, so a nice day trip. We found it very exciting actually, plus
I got a chance to take the rental vehicle off-roading.

The Last Hurrah
Well this was it, we had to return the rental vehicle and head back
to Chicago. We just took a couple hours and drove around Vegas, nothing
special, but we did find Pete's favorite place.
